Description
The exhibition takes up the entire ground floor of the Palazzina di Stupinigi.
“How to design a big exhibition of architecture in such a large venue as the Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi? Mario Bellini asks. As always Bellini avoids the risk of any contamination between the container and the content. Once again the exhibition brings to mind the staging and direction of a theme (European Baroque architecture) rather than an ordinary sequence of works.
The work tables in black iron and easels are once again present. But the iron is used here on the floor as well, turning it into a sheet of paper upon which the blueprints are drawn of each model above, both to scale.
Once again the lighting is theatrical and the shadows abstract the models from the surrounding space”. An interesting and successful entrance pavilion at the end of the long street which from Turin leads to the Stupinigi.
