In these years Bellini’s work often concentrates on formal goals and on the attempt to found new themes, new statements that might give depth and character to his architecture.

The result is a dense series of sketches, thoughts and notes that are of perennial interest for the ideas they suggest. His research in general and that on the topic of the tower in particular is reflected here.

The proposals reinterpret Soviet-era constructivist architecture, the figurative culture of Italian metaphysical painting, and the monumentalist vision of Soviet architecture of the 1940s and 1950s.
